For those of you that don’t call the the DMV home, up here in the D.C. area we saw a little bit of snowfall…enough that all of the flights are all messed up.  So I have been forced to drive home, and home is 9-10 hours away (south though, thank the Lord! BTW…happy birthday Lord).

I get to make this ride with a partner, the better half.  She has been spending the day making CDs for the ride home, there are six of them and I suspect that this song makes an appearance in all six.

I’m soliciting recommendations in building the mix for the long ride home.  Here are the top six, what am I missing?

Kanye West, Family Business

Simply put, there is not better song to describe the family get together.

Phil Ade, Hollywood

Phil Ade is good, despite the fact that on some tracks, every other word is his name.

Priceless the Kid featuring Doe Boy, Feel Good

Priceless is coming out with some of the best new shit we’ve heard to date (he also brings the heat on stage).

WALE, W.A.L.E.D.A.N.C.E

This guy is like my Mom, as in everything that he cooks up is excellent
